The field of Microbiology and Cell Science focuses on microscopic life forms, exploring areas like molecular biology, genetics, immunology, virology, host-microbe interactions, cellular structures, environmental microbes, and microbial metabolism. Students in this discipline engage with chemistry, physics, bacterial pathogens, and genetic principles. This program equips learners for medical, dental, or veterinary school admissions while establishing a robust base for advanced studies in microbiology, cell biology, and related biomedical fields. Graduates also gain qualifications for careers in governmental agencies, industrial research facilities, and diagnostic labs.
The program builds essential understanding of bacterial, eukaryotic, and viral cellular systems. Subjects cover microbial physiology and genetics, disease mechanisms, immune responses, space biology, genomic sequencing techniques, and computational biology applications.
Students must have completed a secondary and college or university credentials from non-U.S. institutions.
The university will require the following minimum scores on the redesigned SAT: SAT Reading = 24, Writing and Language = 25 and Math = 24. On the ACT, a minimum score of 19 on the Reading section and 19 on the Math section.
