The Department of Entomology and Nematology provides this academic program. Professors in the department specialize in classification, ecosystem studies, disease-related arthropods, social insect colonies, pest management, physiological processes, behavioral patterns, evolutionary development, and natural ecological cycles. Historically, the department has successfully prepared students for careers in medicine, veterinary science, and dentistry. Graduates also have excellent opportunities for advanced study and diverse career paths in entomology.
