Students with strong foundations in mathematics and physics who are curious about the Solar System, planetary systems, stars, galaxies, or the cosmos may consider earning a B.A. in astronomy or a B.S. in astrophysics. This education develops valuable analytical abilities and provides versatile preparation for careers in industry, education, government, or advanced studies in astronomy, astrophysics, science education, engineering, law, or medicine. The Astronomy Department provides two undergraduate programs. The Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in astrophysics prepares students for scientific or technical careers, whether they plan to pursue graduate studies in astronomy, astrophysics, physics, or enter related fields like planetary science.

Qualification Requirements

Students must have completed a secondary and college or university credentials from non-U.S. institutions.

The university will require the following minimum scores on the redesigned SAT: SAT Reading = 24, Writing and Language = 25 and Math = 24. On the ACT, a minimum score of 19 on the Reading section and 19 on the Math section.
