Welcome to the University of Florida's BFA Program in Musical Theatre, offered through the School of Theatre and Dance. We foster an environment that encourages bold artistic exploration and celebrates diversity, pushing students to grow creatively in their musical theatre education. By collaborating with the School of Music and our distinguished, diverse faculty, we provide one of the nation's most rigorous artistic and academic training experiences. As Florida's oldest, largest, and most comprehensive public university, UF attracts hundreds of applicants annually to our selective program. Only four to five exceptional candidates are chosen each year, maintaining an intimate cohort of just sixteen outstanding performers. This limited enrollment guarantees personalized mentorship, focused instruction, and an unparalleled educational experience that distinguishes our program nationally. Admission requires both University of Florida acceptance and a successful audition evaluated by our faculty panel.
