The biology programs integrate expertise and facilities from both the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, equipping undergraduate students for professional roles in biological fields, further education in graduate or professional programs, active community engagement, and continuous personal development. These adaptable yet thorough curricula highlight life's varied structures, functions, and ecosystems. Participants fulfill core and optional coursework designed to foster analytical skills by exploring fundamental concepts and unifying theories of living organisms. Compared to specialized degrees like botany or zoology, the biology major provides a more expansive perspective on the life sciences.
