The Master of Science in Legal Administration (MSLA) program at Sturm College of Law equips you for a thriving career in legal management. For over 50 years since its founding in 1972, the MSLA program has equipped students with essential expertise to manage law firms and legal organizations across global markets. This unique degree combines business acumen with legal knowledge, offering adaptable study options.
All courses are delivered online to suit student needs, with flexible full-time or part-time enrollment options allowing completion in one to four years. Our diverse student body includes working professionals and those new to legal administration, bringing varied perspectives to the program.
The Law Firm Administration specialization trains students to effectively lead legal organizations. Through an interdisciplinary approach combining political science, business principles, and legal industry management, students gain comprehensive knowledge of law firm operations.
Alumni of this concentration progress into roles such as HR directors, marketing specialists, training coordinators, and business development managers. The customizable curriculum also allows students to focus on specific interest areas, preparing them for niche positions within legal administration.

Qualification Requirements
A candidate for the Masters must have earned a bachelors degree from an accredited higher education institution or in the case of a foreign candidate obtained the equivalent of a bachelors degree from an acknowledged institution of higher learning GRE GMAT is not required except for the Master of Taxation program
GMAT is required only for the Master of Taxation however for any application submitted on or after April 1st 2015 we will consider you waived from the GMAT if you have one or more of the following attributes
You received a Bachelors degree in Accounting or a Business Administration degree with a major in Accounting with a cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 30
You received a Bachelors degree in Accounting or a Business Administration degree with a major in Accounting and you have earned a graduate level degree from an accredited school
A minimum GPA of 2.5 for the baccalaureate degree or 3.0 for all completed graduate coursework.
You have passed all four parts of the CPA Exam Verification must be sent as an official document from the testing authority to Graduate Legal Studies before you can register for classes
GMAT or GRE are not required for any other LLM or Masters programs.
The minimum TOEFL score accepted by the Sturm College of Law is 95 internetbased test or 587 paperbased test
The minimum IELTS score accepted by the Sturm College of Law is 7.0
