This dual degree program combines rigorous philosophy coursework with another ongoing graduate program in a related field. Students frequently choose to pursue a master's in religious studies or another eligible discipline. Our method offers an interdisciplinary perspective on philosophical concepts and approaches. Faculty expertise spans Western intellectual history, interpretive and critical theory, applied philosophy, meta-philosophy, and analytical studies examining human nature and values.
Students complete the program by submitting a portfolio paper and undergoing an oral examination, equipping them to apply their knowledge professionally. Graduates typically continue to doctoral programs or enter diverse fields including mathematics, science, public service, law, and communications - all areas requiring strong analytical and reasoning abilities.
The 45-credit hour requirement includes up to 10 transferable credits through our adaptable degree structure.
A thorough examination covering Western philosophical traditions.
