Global Economic Affairs breaks from traditional economics programs by ditching abstract textbook theories in favor of real-world economic dynamics. We concentrate on political economy - the intricate interplay between economics, politics, and policymaking. Our program equips students to tackle modern economic complexities, covering international trade, monetary systems, global-domestic political interactions, development drivers, inequality, sustainability, corporate roles in global affairs, and social responsibility. The curriculum bridges theory with practical policy applications while balancing qualitative and quantitative approaches.

In Global Economic Affairs, you'll work alongside professors to investigate:

Current transformative forces shaping the world economy
Globalization's varied impacts on national sovereignty and domestic affairs
Fundamental causes and effects of economic growth
Interconnections between economic, political, environmental, and societal results
Corporate governance's significance in international relations
Cross-border consequences of economic policies
How global economic institutions influence fairness, inclusion, and access to opportunities

Korbel's MA and MPP degrees require 60 credits across two years of full-time study.

International Business and Social Responsibility - Examine multinational enterprises and how corporate responsibility initiatives might advance social welfare and environmental protection.
