Students collaborate with Lamont School of Music's distinguished faculty, gaining performance experience while developing professional readiness for music careers.
Within Lamont's violin program, you'll discover numerous opportunities to refine your artistry. Our varied performance groups range from symphony orchestra and opera to chamber ensembles, world music collectives, and contemporary music projects. Lamont violin students receive instruction from globally recognized artists Linda Wang, Igor Pikayzen, and Yumi Hwang-Williams, while also learning from Laura Schleiger's renowned teaching methods.

Hold a baccalaureate degree applicants must submit at least one transcript from all postsecondary institutions.
A minimum GPA of 2.5 for the baccalaureate degree or 3.0 for all completed graduate coursework.
