The one-year performance certificate program offers intensive training in a chosen musical discipline. This comprehensive curriculum blends individualized coaching, dynamic coursework, and hands-on performance to establish a solid foundation in instrumental mastery. Students collaborate with Lamont School of Music's distinguished faculty, gaining ensemble experience while developing professional skills for music careers.
Clarinetists enjoy abundant performance options across diverse ensembles including symphony orchestras, opera productions, and various chamber groups specializing in world music and contemporary works. They receive instruction from acclaimed performer Jeremy Reynolds, DMA, an internationally recognized soloist and chamber musician who debuted at Carnegie Hall in 2015.
This 12-credit program spans a single academic year, requiring students to present juried performances (specific to their instrument) and at least one solo recital as part of their graduation requirements.
