The Bachelor of Music in Recording and Production program prepares students to become skilled engineers and producers across various musical styles including jazz, classical, pop, rock, and more. This competitive program offers conservatory-quality training within a dynamic liberal arts university setting. Participants receive individual music instruction (classical or jazz), delve into music history and theory, while mastering the techniques of engineering and creating exceptional audio productions.
Within Lamont's violin program, students enjoy numerous opportunities to refine their craft. The school offers a wide range of performance groups, from symphony orchestra and opera to chamber, world music, and contemporary ensembles. Violin students learn from globally renowned artists Linda Wang, Igor Pikayzen, and Yumi Hwang-Williams, while also benefiting from Laura Schleiger's teaching expertise.
Professor Wang launched her career performing with Zubin Mehta and the New York Philharmonic at just nine years old, and has since collaborated with over 70 orchestras while maintaining an international performance and teaching schedule. Professor Pikayzen made his concerto debut at eight with the Moscow Philharmonic and has soloed with leading orchestras across four continents. Professor Hwang-Williams serves as Colorado Symphony's concertmaster and has performed worldwide as both soloist and chamber musician. With over three decades of teaching experience, Professor Kathleen Spring is a certified Suzuki Method instructor who mentors students of all ages.
