At Lamont's violin studio, you'll discover numerous opportunities to enhance and refine your abilities. Our varied musical groups feature symphony orchestra and opera performances, alongside chamber, world, and contemporary ensembles. Students learn from globally renowned artists Linda Wang, Igor Pikayzen, and Yumi Hwang-Williams, while also gaining from Laura Schleiger's teaching experience.
Professor Wang, who made her first appearance with Zubin Mehta and the New York Philharmonic at nine years old, has since played concertos with over 70 orchestras and continues her international career as both performer and instructor. Professor Pikayzen debuted his concerto at eight with the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra and has since soloed with leading orchestras throughout Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Professor Hwang-Williams serves as the Colorado Symphony's concertmaster and has performed worldwide as a soloist and chamber musician. With more than three decades of teaching experience, Professor Kathleen Spring is a certified Suzuki Association of the Americas Teacher Trainer, instructing both young learners and adults.
