The Accelerated MS Accounting Program allows University of Delaware Accounting undergraduates to enroll in graduate-level courses during their degree. Typically, students start this option in their junior year's second semester. The combined BS/MS program requires 144 credit hours - six fewer than pursuing both degrees independently. Undergraduate prerequisites remain unchanged, with one key difference: graduate Accounting and Finance courses for the MS can fulfill the Professional Electives (FINC and ACCT) needed for the bachelor's degree. The graduate coursework mirrors the standard MS in Accounting requirements, including 30 credits at the 600 or 800 level. Accelerated program participants may complete up to six credits of independent study, though any additional independent study won't apply toward degree completion.
