The University of the Pacific's Bachelor of Science in Accounting is a comprehensive four-year program covering all key accounting disciplines such as financial, managerial, cost, auditing, federal income tax, and accounting information systems. This degree equips graduates with the necessary skills for accounting roles across corporate, government, and nonprofit sectors.
Comprising 128 credit hours, the curriculum also provides a foundation for students pursuing CPA certification to further their education.
Alongside the university's general education requirements, the accounting program mandates preprofessional coursework in communication, mathematics, and economics - some of which fulfill general education credits. Students complete a business core curriculum covering accounting, management, marketing, and finance before advancing to intermediate accounting studies in their third year. The program culminates with specialized courses in auditing, advanced financial accounting, cost accounting, and income tax accounting.
