With global population projected to exceed 10 billion, visionary leadership is crucial to address the immense challenge of sustainable food production. Through practical courses such as Hydroponic Food Production, our faculty equip students to tackle critical food system issues with innovative thinking - spanning agriculture, processing, distribution, consumption, and waste management. The growing demand for sustainable food solutions requires more strategic thinkers, planners, and advocates across businesses, nonprofits, and policy sectors to guide responsible use of our planet's finite resources.

Develop practical expertise in how plant science, soil ecology, climate factors, and socioeconomic considerations converge to create sustainable food solutions. Master effective communication of sustainable food system concepts, challenges, and innovations to diverse audiences through multiple formats. Address real-world food system challenges by applying scientific knowledge, analytical reasoning, experimentation, and evidence-based problem-solving.
