Students pursuing Women and Gender Studies examine women's historical and contemporary roles globally, while analyzing how gender intersects with systems of power including sexuality, race, socioeconomic status, nationality, faith, ability, and age.
These subjects are explored through a global lens, incorporating viewpoints from various disciplines such as history, sociology, political science, linguistics, economics, anthropology, literature and cultural studies, philosophy, science, religion, and the arts. The program provides a Bachelor of Arts in Women and Gender Studies with Honors options, along with minors in Domestic Violence Prevention and Services (DVPS) and Sexualities and Gender Studies (SGST). Students can also pursue a specialization in Domestic Violence Prevention and Services. Internship opportunities allow participants to combine academic knowledge with hands-on professional experience. Program enrollees benefit from personalized academic advising tailored to their educational path and professional aspirations.
