The School of Music provides both Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Music programs. The Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Music allows students to combine focused musical studies with a well-rounded liberal arts curriculum, preparing them for diverse career paths. The curriculum covers music theory, historical and literary studies of music, performance groups, and individual music instruction. Challenging music classes are complemented by ample chances for study, research, and growth in other disciplines. This program especially benefits those with wide-ranging creative and intellectual pursuits who aim to apply their musical training in innovative professional ways.

Enrolled students are skilled musicians who excel in musical settings while exploring additional academic fields and career possibilities. This degree path works perfectly for those aiming to complete two degrees simultaneously, pursue multiple majors, or combine a music major with a minor from another discipline.
