The Department of Communication provides a combined 4+1 BA/MA program enabling students to earn both their Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Master of Arts in Strategic Communication simultaneously. Students must fulfill all requirements for both degrees, with the option to count up to six credits of graduate-level strategic communication courses toward both programs. The department features an undergraduate Communication major with specializations in Interpersonal Communication, Media Communication, and Public Relations, including an Honors Degree pathway.

Our program blends rigorous theoretical and research foundations with practical training in areas like public speaking, video production, broadcast journalism, and PR. The curriculum explores diverse topics including cross-cultural communication, advertising principles, media's impact on youth, political entertainment, persuasive techniques, strategic messaging, social media strategy, interpersonal skills, and conflict resolution.
