As a student in UD's Clinical Mental Health Counseling program, you'll acquire the expertise and competencies required to thrive as a professional counselor in both community settings and private practice. Our curriculum adopts a comprehensive perspective when addressing the needs of individuals, families, and communities, equipping you with cutting-edge techniques for effective practice across diverse situations. To obtain your Professional Counseling License (PC), you must successfully complete an examination administered by Ohio's Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board (CSWMFT). Following two more years of supervised clinical work and passing the Professional Clinical Counselor Examination (PCLE), you'll qualify for licensure as a Professional Clinical Counselor (PCC).

Qualification Requirements

Official academic records of all previously attended colleges or universities must be submitted directly from the colleges or universities to the Office of Graduate Admission Processing. Hand-carried transcripts, official copies marked Issued to Student and unofficial copies are not acceptable.

Applicants must have attained an undergraduate cumulative grade-point average of 2.75 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
