As a participant in the University of Dayton's Discover Engineering Technology program, you can investigate the School of Engineering's academic offerings before selecting your major. You'll take a unique seminar course that introduces the division, its professors, curriculum, graduate opportunities, and essential policies and procedures for student achievement. This seminar covers cooperative education, internships, and extracurricular activities. Classes are kept small, with personalized attention provided as required. Through this seminar and guidance from your experienced advisor, you'll identify the engineering technology field that matches your interests. After choosing your engineering academic path, Discover Engineering Technology admits are assured placement in any engineering technology program, while Discover Engineering admits are guaranteed entry into any engineering program. If you wish to switch between engineering technology and engineering programs, your Student Success Advisor is available to assist you.
