The Certificate in Foundations of Public Health (CFPH) is a 12-credit program consisting of four courses that provides an introduction to public health's fundamental disciplines. This program is designed for graduate and professional students across various fields—including medicine, dentistry, law, nursing, social work, pharmacy, business, and social sciences—who wish to enhance their expertise with comprehensive knowledge of population health challenges and prospects. The certificate also welcomes early-career and experienced public health professionals, as well as individuals exploring public health careers.
To obtain the Foundations of Public Health Certificate, participants must successfully finish two mandatory courses and two electives, achieving a minimum grade of B in each.
Students can pursue the certificate either part-time or full-time, but all program requirements must be fulfilled within a three-year period starting from their initial enrollment date.
