The Exercise Science (BS) degree offers an in-depth exploration of physical activity, human performance, and wellness. This program equips students for professional opportunities in areas like athletic training, fitness coaching, rehabilitation services, sports medicine clinics, and research initiatives. Numerous alumni pursue further education through graduate programs in exercise physiology, nutritional sciences, or healthcare fields such as medical school, physical therapy, and physician assistant programs.
Our academic plan focuses on developing students' professional skills and theoretical knowledge. The program combines general education requirements with specialized kinesiology studies and complementary science coursework, maintaining rigorous standards for both practical training and scholarly achievement.
First-year applicants gain direct entry into the Exercise Science program, with admission prioritizing candidates demonstrating exceptional aptitude in mathematics and sciences.
Transfer opportunities exist when space permits, with application reviews occurring each fall (October 1 cutoff) and spring (February 1 cutoff). Competitive transfer applicants generally maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA with strong performance (B grades or better) in foundational Biological and Physical Science courses.
