The Master of Science program in chemistry equips students with essential skills and expertise for specialized research in chemistry and allied fields. Earning an MS in Chemistry from CU Denver positions you for success in rigorous PhD or health sciences programs, while also offering practical experience sought after by pharmaceutical, biotech, and specialized industrial employers. Our alumni have advanced to PhD programs, pre-professional schools, and careers across academic, government, and corporate sectors.
The department provides two program options: a coursework-based plan or a thesis track. We also feature a combined BS/MS degree program.
