The Master of Science in Chemistry caters to both full-time and part-time learners. This program delivers specialized education for professionals aiming to advance in industrial, medical laboratory, or academic fields, as well as students seeking additional preparation before entering Ph.D. or medical programs. Evening graduate courses accommodate working professionals, allowing them to complete the degree part-time by enrolling in one or two classes each term. The MS curriculum covers analytical, clinical, inorganic, organic, physical, and environmental chemistry. Clinical chemistry students gain hands-on experience in managing state-of-the-art medical lab operations. While most chemistry MS tracks offer thesis and non-thesis paths, the clinical chemistry specialization follows a coursework-exclusive structure.
If you have successfully completed a degree equivalent to a bachelor's degree in the United States, you are considered to be a graduate student at CSU.
