The University of Colorado Denver's Master of Public Administration program cultivates dedicated, competent, and adaptable leaders by equipping students with essential training to tackle real-world issues in government and nonprofit organizations. Participants will gain crucial abilities to coordinate, guide, and administer within these sectors. Through curriculum grounded in data analysis, ethical reasoning, and policy leadership, graduates will be prepared to excel in civic roles and create impactful transformations. The intensive MPA track offers an immersive, year-round experience for those ready to launch their public sector careers. Every August, a select group enters this rigorous 12-month curriculum designed to build a network of academic professionals. Ideal candidates should possess foundational understanding of economics, statistical methods, and political systems. The degree requires completion of twelve courses (36 credit hours). Because of the cohort-based structure and fixed course sequence, accelerated program participants cannot select a specialization.
Students must have a Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Standardized test scores (i.e., GRE, GMAT, LSAT) are no longer required for admission to the program; however, test scores may strengthen your application (e.g., if your undergraduate GPA is less than 3.0). If submitting test scores with the application, they must be from within the last five years.
