The Graduate Teacher Education program results in a Master of Arts in Teaching degree and initial teaching certification. It cultivates educators who embrace cultural diversity, work collaboratively with families and communities, and possess the expertise to build dynamic, meaningful, and challenging learning environments where every student can thrive. We collaborate with P-12 educators across the CU Denver Professional Development School Network, which includes more than 20 urban schools throughout Denver's metropolitan area. Throughout the program, teacher candidates experience a full academic year in the classroom through sequential residency placements at professional development schools.
