This certification program focuses on criminal justice and criminology disciplines. The need for crime analysts is growing across law enforcement agencies, judicial systems, correctional facilities, research organizations, policy institutes, and corporate sectors. Modern learners show heightened interest in areas like penal system reform, anti-terrorism efforts, criminal patterns, and public safety strategies. Addressing societal challenges effectively begins with the fundamental process of examining data and intelligence.
To obtain the Graduate Certificate in Crime Analysis, students must complete 15 credit hours of designated courses. Applicants must hold an accredited bachelor's degree to qualify. While concentrating on Criminal Justice and Criminology concepts, the program equips participants with analytical competencies applicable to various professional domains.
Applicants must hold a baccalaureate or master’s degree from an accredited college or university or demonstrate completion of work equivalent to the baccalaureate or master’s degree given at CU Denver. Students must have an undergraduate grade point average of 3.00 or better (“A” is equal to 4.0) or a 3.00 or better GPA in twelve (12) credit hours or more of a partially completed graduate level master’s degree program.
Minimum TOEFL IBT Total Score: 79; TOEFL Sub scores (Reading: 18, Listening: 17, Speaking: 20, Writing: 17).
Minimum IELTS Overall Band Score: 6.5, IELTS Sub scores as 5.5.
Minimum PTE Academic Score Accepted: 58.
