The MGM program in global management with a focus on global legal studies caters to students interested in international legal matters without necessarily pursuing a law degree. Some participants may explore this concentration as a stepping stone before attending law school. Through this curriculum, learners acquire cross-disciplinary expertise in both global management and legal systems, creating opportunities across various industries in worldwide organizations. This specialization is delivered in partnership with the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law: https://law.asu.edu/.
Grasping and implementing laws begins with comprehending fundamental legal concepts, then employing them to recognize and evaluate pertinent legal matters. The core courses in the Master of Global Management's global legal studies concentration help students master key legal principles while honing analytical skills, primarily through case briefings that involve pinpointing legal issues, stating applicable rules, examining judicial reasoning, and drawing conclusions. These analytical abilities are assessed during final examinations using hypothetical scenarios. Participants develop and refine their capacity to interpret legal foundations—the cornerstone of legal reasoning—and implement them within their chosen professional domains.
