The EVEN graduate program is overseen by faculty across several CEAS departments, such as Aerospace Engineering Science, Civil, Environmental, and Architectural Engineering, along with Mechanical Engineering. Required courses for the program are provided by these collaborating departments, with student credit hours distributed accordingly.
The Environmental Engineering M.S., Professional M.S., and Ph.D. program leverages enduring partnerships between faculty and researchers at CU-Boulder institutes and nearby federal labs. Additionally, the program draws strength from the well-established reputation of environmental engineering groups within the participating departments. This recognition is reflected in U.S. News & World Report's 2017 ranking, which placed our Graduate Program 9th nationally (7th among public institutions) for Best Engineering Schools in Environmental/Environmental Health Engineering.
The EVEN Program provides Master of Science, Professional Master of Science, and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Environmental Engineering. The Master of Science degree necessitates completion of 30 semester hours, including six thesis credit hours.
