The journalism master's program equips students for thriving careers across news organizations, digital/social media, and corporate communication fields. Students can select between two pathways: the Professional Practice track or the Area of Expertise specialization. Both options cater to individuals with minimal prior journalism education or work background. The Professional Practice track enables students to rapidly develop high-level journalism competencies, requiring just 30 credits that can be finished in two semesters plus a summer term.
Applicants to the MA in journalism must:
Hold at least a baccalaureate degree or its equivalent from an accredited college or university.
Have an undergraduate grade point average of at least 2.75.
All international applicants are required to meet a minimum standard of English proficiency.
