The Master of Arts in English Language Arts and Social Studies programs can be finished within one year, beginning and concluding in summer. Participants enroll in two summer courses initially, followed by full-time classes and practicum experiences during fall and spring. The degree culminates with a final summer course. Upon successful completion, graduates qualify for secondary teaching certification (grades 7-12) recommendation at the spring semester's end.

Qualification Requirements
Proof of English proficiency - TOEFL: Ibt -114, TOEFL: Pbt 650, IELTS: 8.0. Documentation of 25 hours of youth experience with students in grades 7-12 (12-18 years old). Minimum 3.00 GPA cumulatively among all institutions attended. Applicants must also have a 3.0 GPA in all content area coursework. Please note, GRE Scores are not required for the MA+ program. Hold a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education. Basic Skills Requirement: Complete appropriate, college-level Math and Composition courses with a B- or better. Acceptable scores on the ACT, SAT, GRE, or Praxis CORE exam will also satisfy the requirement.
