Geobiology examines the interactions between physical, chemical, and biological processes within natural systems. Investigations in this field may analyze contemporary environments or trace the co-evolution of Earth and life through significant geological and evolutionary milestones. Astrobiology investigates life's relationship with cosmic evolution, studying its origins and the potential for extraterrestrial life within our solar system and throughout the universe.

Qualification Requirements

Hold a baccalaureate degree or its equivalent from an accredited college or university. Have an undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.00. Most of our competitive candidates have GPA's of 3.50 minimum. Submit GRE General Test scores (verbal, quantitative, and analytical writing) from exam taken within the last 5 years. The University requires a minimum TOEFL score of 537 (paper based), 203 (computer based), and/or 75 (new internet based). The University requires a minimum IELTS score of 6.0.
