Pursuing a French major at CU Boulder equips you with proficiency in speaking and writing French while exploring the literature, films, and cultural traditions of France and other Francophone regions. Graduates emerge with confidence in navigating French language and culture, capable of integrating this expertise across disciplines and thriving in French-speaking environments. Our program cultivates versatile communicators fluent in the language of diplomacy, deeply versed in French literary works, cinematic arts, and cultural heritage. Alumni excel in diverse fields including global commerce, international affairs, legal professions, media, design, creative industries, academia, and diplomatic services.
Undergraduate international students are students who have completed a secondary school and are pursuing a bachelor’s degree, and who have or will be applying for a temporary U.S. Visa, such as an F-1 or J-1.

IELTS: 6.5
Total scores must include a TOEFL writing sub score of 19 or higher or an IELTS writing sub score of 5.5 or higher. Scores may not be combined.
