The Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science is designed for students passionate about computer science who also want to combine it with a liberal arts education to enhance their STEM learning. This program blends computer science, mathematics, and humanities, focusing on applying computational methods to advance scientific research. Compared to the BS degree, the BA requires fewer computer science credits but incorporates more classes from outside the College of Engineering & Applied Science. Participants must choose a secondary field of study from any CU Boulder department, opening opportunities for pursuing double majors, minors, or certificates in complementary fields.
