The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science combined with the Master of Science in Computer Science offers an accelerated dual-degree opportunity through the College of Science and Technology. Exceptional Computer Science students who have completed at least four semesters at Temple may apply for this integrated program. Temple's B.S. in Computer Science delivers comprehensive training in computing science, covering both theoretical mathematical foundations and practical software system development. The program includes specialized electives (4-5 courses) across diverse fields like artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics, computer vision, graphics, game development, bioinformatics, database systems, big data analytics, mobile/web applications, cloud computing, high-performance computing, wireless networks, cybersecurity, and digital forensics. The M.S. component provides broad graduate-level computer science education with coursework in artificial intelligence, collaborative systems, computer architecture, database management, graphics, networking, operating systems, software engineering, and theoretical computer science. This curriculum prepares graduates for various professional paths including systems analysis, academic instruction, and research positions without focusing on any single computing specialization.
