The minimum required GPA for graduate study is 3.0. Applicants should take the General GRE, and are strongly encouraged to take the Physics GRE subject area test for international applicants. Applicants without Physics GRE subject area test scores must provide other evidence of outstanding achievement and promise. There are no minimum required GRE scores for admission. Instead, we consider your scores, overall record, and letters of recommendation to make the admission decision.
EDUCATION: List prior education institutions with dates of attendance, major or educational emphasis, title of degree awarded, language of instruction, grade point average, and any awards, scholarships or other honors received.
RESEARCH: Summarize any research activities with which you have been associated. List any publications or presentations.
TEACHING: Summarize any significant teaching/tutoring experience. If appropriate, include level of students taught, type of instruction provided (lab, lecture, tutoring), textbook and software.
OTHER: Add other professional sections as appropriate to your background.
All foreign nationals must submit proof. The preference is to have TOEFL IBT scores sent directly by ETS to the Physics Department. The minimum acceptable score is 68.
