The Clinical Research: Principal Investigator (PI) Track Master of Science program prepares healthcare practitioners (including physicians, nurses, and other terminal-degree clinical professionals) to develop into independent researchers. Applicants should hold a terminal degree in a medical field, though those with doctoral qualifications (PhD) in other disciplines may also apply.

Prospective students may submit applications year-round, with enrollment available at the start of any academic term following acceptance.

One of the recommendations must be submitted by a research mentor from a local healthcare institution, stating that the applicant will have the protected time and support necessary to complete the courses and research thesis that are part of the MS program. Applicants must have a research mentor chosen before they will be considered for admission. Due to the volume of applications the program receives, we cannot match applicants with a mentor.
