Advanced students enjoy access to over 170 Steinway pianos (one of the globe's most extensive collections), learn from renowned artist-teachers, and collaborate with world-class musicians in outstanding facilities.
MM Piano candidates refine their craft through weekly private instruction, chamber music involvement, and performance recitals. The curriculum balances performance with rigorous academic study, including music theory, musicology, and diverse electives. Students benefit from personalized guidance by distinguished faculty and frequent performance chances with Cincinnati's premier arts organizations like the Symphony Orchestra, Opera, and Ballet.
Alumni pursue careers as performers, educators, composers, orchestrators, and competition directors. Many have triumphed in elite contests such as the Naumburg, National Chopin, and William Kapell competitions. Some graduates choose to pursue further advanced musical studies.
