Historical conservation focuses on protecting and restoring heritage items. This curriculum aims to cultivate both understanding and practical skills regarding the challenges and methods of preserving historical artifacts.

The Colleges of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning and Arts and Sciences jointly provide this specialized historic conservation track. Available to graduate students from either college, the certification is granted alongside a master's degree.

Qualification Requirements

Most students applying to this program are already matriculated into one of the University's graduate programs. Individuals who wish to apply as a non-matriculated student will need to submit a certified transcript demonstrating their achievement of a baccalaureate degree with a GPA of at least 3.0 and submit one letter of recommendation that discusses the applicant's potential to succeed in a historic preservation program.

The following exams and minimum scores are accepted as proof of English proficiency -
TOEFL minimum score of 80 iBT
In-person and at-home online exam scores accepted TOEFL Essentials and My Best Test scores are not accepted.
IELTS minimum score of 6.5 overall band.
In-person and at-home online exam scores accepted.
PTE minimum score of 54.
