Sensors are versatile devices that track changes across various applications, from security systems to medical diagnostics. These instruments can serve as diagnostic tools, such as virus-detecting devices that analyze blood or sweat, or as wearable tech like Apple watches that monitor heart rates. At CEAS, groundbreaking advancements include COVID-19 detection through innovative virus testing, sweat analysis, and blood screening.
The Chemical Engineering program provides approximately 35 graduate courses annually, covering four key research fields: Biomolecular Engineering, Nanotechnology, Energy and Environment, and Separations. Course offerings span diverse topics including Air Pollution Engineering, Biotransformations and Biocatalysis, Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering Design and Green Engineering, Computational Chemistry and Molecular Modeling, Fuel Cells, Membrane Processes, Molecular Engineering and Functional Nanomaterials, Polymer Systems, Process Dynamics, Control and Optimization, Reaction Engineering and Catalysis for Energy and Fuels, Separation Processes, Tissue Engineering, and Transport Phenomena.
