Texas Tech University provides an interdisciplinary Ph.D. program in Wind Science and Engineering. This program aims to equip students with comprehensive knowledge for conducting research and addressing challenges associated with windstorm hazards (including hurricanes, tornadoes, and thunderstorms) while also exploring beneficial wind applications (such as wind energy). Students engage in multidisciplinary core studies and dissertation work. The degree mandates a minimum of 60 graduate credit hours plus a dissertation (12 credits of WE 8000).
These 60 credits encompass six essential core courses, specialization electives, and an external practical experience.
