The Economics PhD program provides comprehensive training in core economic principles, statistical methods, and mathematical foundations through foundational coursework and specialized seminars.
Beyond mastering analytical techniques, students cultivate economic reasoning skills to tackle real-world challenges and prepare for academic careers involving teaching and original research.
The program structure includes four key elements: mandatory coursework, an independent research project, comprehensive examinations, and doctoral dissertation work.

The Business Administration PhD features a core curriculum across multiple business disciplines, plus a focused concentration requiring at least 18 credit hours in a specific field.

The Economics specialization requires two semesters each of microeconomic theory and econometrics, along with single semesters of macroeconomic theory and mathematical economics. Students complete their studies with a two-semester seminar series in their chosen economics specialization area.
