The Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies (BIS) is a distinctive program that allows students to design their own customized major. Those pursuing Interdisciplinary Studies acquire insights from various academic fields, integrating diverse knowledge, methodologies, and theoretical approaches to support their personal educational and professional aspirations.
The Interdisciplinary Nursing Preparation initiative represents a collaborative effort between Cincinnati Arts and Sciences and Cincinnati College of Nursing. This program emerged in response to growing calls for academic institutions to develop cross-disciplinary learning opportunities that promote teamwork among future healthcare professionals. Participants benefit from specialized advising, supplementary nursing coursework, and an interdisciplinary curriculum that equips them for the Accelerated Direct-Entry Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program - an intensive pathway tailored for degree-holders seeking to become registered nurses.
