Aviation technology integrates flight instruction with essential ground-based competencies to equip you for a professional career as a commercial pilot. Although many envision pilots operating passenger airliners, they actually command diverse aircraft for various industries. In addition to roles with major and regional airlines, pilots fly cargo jets, corporate jets, and charter services, as well as perform aerial inspections of pipelines and power lines, conduct aerial photography, and lead sight-seeing excursions. Some pilots engage in firefighting, search and rescue missions, and law enforcement operations. Others pursue careers as flight instructors. Piloting demands rigorous safety protocols, effective crew resource management, expertise in meteorology and navigation, and comprehensive understanding of aircraft systems and flight mechanics. Aviation technology ensures you master these abilities alongside your practical flight education.
