Gain expertise in public policy analysis while specializing in international relations with our two-year Master of Arts in Public Policy and International Relations program. This joint initiative between Harris Public Policy and the Committee on International Relations (CIR) awards two distinct master's degrees: one in public policy and another in international relations. Prospective students must submit separate applications to both the Committee on International Relations and Harris for this dual degree opportunity. The Harris MA in public policy delivers essential policy knowledge and analytical skills, achievable within a single year. Meanwhile, CIR's one-year MA curriculum offers an intensive exploration of the geopolitical, security, economic, and sociocultural factors influencing global relations. The program's interdisciplinary requirements guarantee students develop comprehensive analytical perspectives on international political and economic systems.
Applicants to our graduate and professional programs are expected to be enrolled in or to have completed a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from an accredited college or university. Applicants from a three-year bachelor’s program will be given due consideration. Because all of our programs feature competitive admission, no particular academic degree or background will guarantee admission to one of our graduate divisions.
