The one-year MA program from the Committee of International Relations delivers a demanding curriculum exploring the political, security, economic, social, and cultural factors influencing global affairs. With an emphasis on intensive writing and reading, courses encourage innovative and analytical approaches to contemporary global issues. As an interdisciplinary initiative, CIR mandates distribution requirements to guarantee students gain comprehensive insight into international political and economic systems while allowing specialization in personal areas of interest. The program's two core seminars—focusing on international relations theory and political economy—not only establish a solid academic framework for further university studies but also create distinctive opportunities for students to participate in meaningful discussions with classmates.
Applicants to our graduate and professional programs are expected to be enrolled in or to have completed a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from an accredited college or university. Applicants from a three-year bachelor’s program will be given due consideration. Because all of our programs feature competitive admission, no particular academic degree or background will guarantee admission to one of our graduate divisions.
