In the BA and BS neuroscience programs, students explore the brain and nervous system from multiple academic perspectives, building upon foundational calculus and chemistry knowledge gained through the Core curriculum. Following introductory courses in neuroscience, statistics, and physics, learners can select specialized electives in Neurobiology, Psychology, Computer Science, Physics, and Biology. During their senior year, students may collaborate with renowned University of Chicago faculty on groundbreaking research projects. Those passionate about neuroscience can alternatively pursue a Biological Science major with a Neuroscience concentration. The Neuroscience minor offers students from other disciplines fundamental neuroscientific understanding.
