Engineering is the discipline focused on tackling intricate technological challenges, with molecular engineering specifically applying molecular science to create innovative devices, processes, and technologies. The Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering (PME) leads pioneering efforts to solve critical societal issues in quantum engineering, biotechnology, immunoengineering, advanced materials, energy storage, and sustainable water solutions. The Bachelor of Science in Molecular Engineering provides students with a modern engineering education grounded in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology. The curriculum cultivates analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities, teaches engineering principles for biological, chemical, and physical systems, and explores open-ended technological challenges across multiple fields. The program blends creativity and design with scientific inquiry, preparing students for influential roles in our technology-centered world. Graduates will be equipped for careers in engineering research, product development, and industry, or for advanced studies in engineering, science, medicine, business, or law. Others may apply their engineering training in quantitative analysis and problem-solving to excel in consulting, finance, policy-making, or entrepreneurial ventures.
