The Department of Biomedical Engineering provides an accredited Bachelor of Science program in Biomedical Engineering (BSBE) with a Premed Concentration. This interdisciplinary field applies engineering principles and technologies to address challenges in biology, life sciences, medicine, and biotechnology. The curriculum encompasses a diverse range of subjects, including the creation of artificial organs and prosthetics, implantable medical devices, tissue engineering, biomedical instrumentation, computational methods in medical research and diagnostics, signal and image processing, clinical engineering, rehabilitation engineering, and specialized areas such as cardiovascular, neurological, and respiratory engineering.
