The Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice provides undergraduates with a pathway to start their professional education in social work, policy, and administration while completing their College studies. Aspiring students interested in the joint MA program in Social Work, Social Policy, and Social Administration should meet with their College advisor and the Crown Family School admissions team as early as their first year, or by the start of their third year at the latest. Eligibility requires maintaining a minimum 3.25 GPA and fulfilling all general education and major requirements by the conclusion of the third year. During their fourth undergraduate year, BA/MA candidates enroll in nine courses: seven foundational Crown Family School classes and two electives. The program also includes two supervised field placements (evaluated internships) - one during the fourth College year and another in the second year of combined study. Given the rigorous nature of these nine graduate courses alongside fieldwork, students are advised to finalize their BA projects prior to commencing graduate-level coursework.
